- The alloy is more expensive, but improves the lifetime considerably (up to 50% higher lifetime can be achieved). At the same time giving a constant flake quality.
- Compound wear plates with integrated fastening bolts
The main point is the life of the individual parts used. With through-hardened solid steel and sandwich wear plates, the weakening of the wear surface created by the fastening holes led to greater wear and tear in the area of the holes. The newly-developed Boehler technology avoids these weak areas. The principal characteristic is the high hardness throughout of the wear layer, which is applied to tough base material. The threaded fastening bolts are thus fixed firmly to the backing material. This guarantees not only greater economy but also longer life and a quality of flaking which stays consistent over longer periods.
Again our wear plates are considerably more expensive then the convention ones but the lifetime can be more than tripled!
